one makemode.
many flavors.
A playable game. A quantum idea you can trust. A real, reproducible analysis. Each from a single sentence — and each shaped by expertise you can read. Underneath it's one sovereign build engine on European rails; a flavor loads the skills and starting points of a discipline on top, so a game design student, a curious physicist and a scientist with sensitive data each walk through their own door. The URL is the door; there is nothing to set up.
Three tools, one engine. Choose where you want to work — in your browser, on your own machine, or in your own terminal — and the flavors below run there. compare the three ways in →
web app

Describe a page, a tool, a visual idea — watch it build in a live preview, then publish a real link.

Playable prototypes with real game loops and live sliders to tune the feel — share a link so anyone can play-test.

Turn a scholarly idea into a real thing — an interactive essay, an image atlas, a reading room — grounded in a 17,000-book European library, with citations.
app.makemode.eu/humanities → · for programmes →quantum vibecoding
Play with a real quantum idea and come away with correct intuition — physically honest, and it can run on a real chip at TU Delft.

on your own machine · works with local files, your data stays on your devicethe notebook
Drop in a dataset, ask a question in plain language, and get a real, reproducible analysis — it runs on your own device, so your data never leaves it.

The same EU engine in your own tools — point your setup at the gateway with a personal key, keep your workflow, and it's metered in euros.
how to set it up →how a flavor works.
Under the hood, every flavor hands the engine the same three things — this is the make loop. Give it a new discipline's version of these three and you have a new flavor in days, not months.
an instruction file
The house rules for the flavor: what it's for and how it likes to work with you. On your own machine it's a plain file you can open (CLAUDE.md); on the web it's a built-in brief that plays the same part.
skills
The know-how of a discipline — game feel, physical honesty, sound statistics — folded into every build, and shown on the builds it shaped.
a goal
What you're actually after — a playable game, a reading room, an analysis. You say it in plain words; that's your order to the engine.
And then a look, kept separate — this part is just styling. Each flavor wears its own face — arcade dark, quantum glow, lab paper — over the very same build underneath.
skills you can read.
A skill isn't a hidden setting — it's a plain-language document, kept in the EU, that gives a flavor its know-how. These are the real ones: the very same files MakeMode reads when it builds. Tap any to read exactly what it says, word for word.
a flavor for your programme.
A course, a studio, a company team: we can spin up a flavor around your discipline — starting points from your syllabus, skills from your domain, your look — on the same sovereign rails, with nothing for your students or staff to configure. tell us what you teach →
taking shape nextIndustrial design is the next door of its own — form studies, ergonomics, concept boards. Biology, psychology and statistics arrive as skill shelves on the notebook, not separate apps — the same way the science methods above grow one readable skill at a time. None of these are finished yet; tell us which you need and it moves up the list.
